Abigail Jackline--Father's joy. To Connie and me, Abigail is a wonderful blessing from God, our precious jewel. God blessed us with Abigail as Connie and I went through the journey of infertility.

Eliana Faith--God answers. God hears our cries and heals us not only emotionally, but He also gives us Eliana, a precious gift, as a sign of his faithfulness.

I want a self achievement before 30. Breakthrough and reach to another stage of life

What’s a man?

怎樣的being/becoming去活得可以代表著香港的男子漢?

後記:大學時代的roommate—Raymond時常用一句 “Be a man!” 今日就讓我以此和其他男仕說聲 “Be a man!”

Fear and Acceptance

Palm Sunday—To remember that very Sunday, a week before Jesus was crucified, entering Jerusalem in triumph. Yesterday in the Palm Sunday service, I was touched again by the grace of Jesus while singing this song:

Hosanna (Praise is rising)

Praise is rising, eyes are turning to you;
We turn to you;
Hope is stirring, hearts are yearning for you;
We long for you;

‘Cause when we see you,
We find strength to face the day;
In your presence all our fears are washed away,
Washed away.

Hosanna, Hosanna, you are the God who saves us,
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna, come have your way among us;
We welcome you here, Lord Jesus

by Paul Baloche & Brenton Brown. Integrity’s Hosanna Music & Thankyou Music, 2006.

…Thinking back to my lustful sins, the words “see” and “find strength to face” got my attention.
How lowly I am! How unworthy I am! How then can I face God?
Yet “In your presence all our fears are washed away” …yes, fear…there is fear deep down in my heart of not being accepted by God…
But I know there's a greater calling, a calling to return, for God is gracious. How blessed it is to have such a calling to return! To return to the gracious God who washed our sins and fears away.
As the second verse goes:

Hear the sound of hearts returning to you,
We turn to you;
In your Kingdom broken lives are made new,
You make us new;

‘Cause when we see you,
We find strength to face the day;
In your presence all our fears are washed away,
Washed away.

Hosanna, Hosanna, you are the God who saves us,
Worthy of all our praises
Hosanna, Hosanna, come have your way among us;
We welcome you here, Lord Jesus

Oh Lord, I need your mercy. Forgive my trespasses and renew me, that my heart rests in you always. Amen.

A fun weekend

Three things that made today a really wonderful day:

1. Engaging and fun time with the kids at church this morning, even though I lost my voice and ripped my pants afterwards. May the love of Jesus Christ always be in their hearts. Looking forward to work closely with Karpos team.

2. Playful time with Abby, and other familes from church. We really need these quality time to connect with one another.

3. Warm chat with APS colleagues through Skype. I'm so glad to hear from them. Thanks for their love and care to me, Connie and Abby.

I really need some good rests tonight and then start to work hard tomorrow. Still got 3 weeks before finishing this term. May God give me a healthy spiritual and physical being to complete it strong. ^_^

In remembrance of Uncle Big and Grandma, whom I lost within a month

Uncle Big, you've lived an extraordinary life. Stories about you that I heard from my mom seem to be found only in movies. I guess these are only bits and pieces of your legend. I've longed to chat with you and to know more about you and your feelings; however, I could not overcome the fear from your extravaganza. It was difficult to get to know your minds.

The most wonderful conversation that I treasured most was taken place at BH while you had your cancer treatment. The way you talked to Aunt, Connie and me showed me your loving and sentimental side of you. I am so glad and relieved that you humbly accepted Christ as your saviour when you were at your last stage of life. I thank God for His mercy and steadfast love. May your family also find comfort in Him. I'll pray and care for Aunties and KK, HY.

Grandma, I'm so thankful that I could come back to HK for attending your funeral. It was a great memory that I could 'send you off' with our family and the Pangs. I miss you but I did not feel disheartened. You will always be in my heart. May you find peace and joy with our Lord Jesus Christ.
